Few years ago, a Filipino blogger from Batangas initiated a blogging campaign about Pinay Scandal. Participants were told to write article about Pinay Scandal, then SEO the article in hopes of getting the top position in the SERP especially with that of Google.
Hundreds of Filipino bloggers participated in the campaign. Their first year of the campaign is quite interesting and successful. 9 of 10 spots in the Google SERP were all owned by the blogpost of the participants.
However, what happened had made the webmasters of the real porrrny websites to do more SEO on their websites for the keyword Pinay Scandal and othe related keywords. When the participants of the campaign stop the SEO maintenance for their blogs, the real porrrny websites began getting the top position of the SERP.
One of the known Filipino blogger who got the top position on the keyword Pinay Scandal for more than a year is Sustines Laplana, my mentor. But today, when I checked the SERP, I couldn't find his blogpost already on the top pages. You can check his blogpost here, "Pinay Scandal".
Today, there few blogposts of the participants that are occupying the top spots on the first page of the SERP. And I think, this number can be deducted again because the campaign founder, Mar Macuha called all the participants who are members of the Google publishers to delete their post because they have observed that the post about Pinay Scandal has caused trouble to most of the bloggers.
For example: The blog of Mr. Laplana as mentioned above was penalized by his hosting partner because they found out that Google perceived his blog as a porn website even if the content of the blog is not really porrny.
Another one is the blog of the personal friend of Mr. Mar Macuha. The blog was penalized by Google because his blog was perceived by Google as violator on its terms and condition.
And there are many stories of bloggers who participated the campaign.
